On Monday March 19 Jennifer Rockage McGhee visited the WVU School of Art and Design. Art History Professor Dr. Janet Snyder invited Jennifer as a part of Snyder’s Print Art History course this semester. Jennifer was one of my graduate students, and received her MFA in Printmaking from WVU. Jennifer is an independent artist living and working in Pittsburgh. It has been so great to see Jennifer’s career develop over the years.
Jennifer brought some of her fabric, talked about her work, and gave us a demonstration on silkscreen printing fabric yardage.
Students jumped right in…
Close up of the pattern.
Thank you to Dr. Janet Snyder for setting this visit up. A big thank you to Jennifer for taking time out of her busy schedule to come back to the CAC to share her work with us.
