After my residency at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice, I was able to travel to multiple cities in Italy and see artwork and important cultural sites throughout the country…
The first stop was at the Cinque Terre…absolutely beautiful landscape and towns…
The second stop was Florence…
Obvious stops to see David and the Duomo with other stops…
With some short stops at some used clothing, used book, and comic shops…
Siena was next…
Luckily, we stopped at the right time to see the 500 year old annual Palio horse race in the center square of town. Amazing!
Next was Cortona! I spent a month in Cortona as a graduate student at the University of Georgia, and I always knew I would be back, I just didn’t know when…
There I am back in 2001…
So happy to get time with Professor of Printmaking at UGA Melissa Harshman!
I also hadn’t seen Bridget Conn since graduation from UGA back in 2002!
And finally Rome…I just could not get enough of the ruins in Rome…
