Over Thanksgiving Break, my family and I had an opportunity to visit friends in South Africa.
It was an amazing experience! While in South Africa, I had a chance to meet the two printmaking professors, Stephen Inggs and Fritha Langerman, at the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town.
I was lucky enough to have some time to look at art during our trip.
This is the Stellenbosch University Museum, we were lucky to get here right before it closed.
The exhibition we saw was called “101 Geographies” and featured artists using the land as a symbol or metaphor for broader contemporary issues in South Africa.
