Below is an image I have been working on for about a month now. It is an image for a future CMYK Silkscreen.
I thought I would use this post to show a little bit of my process. I am currently taking all my imagery from the same comic book “Iron Man” Issue 178. In order to remove everything I want to remove (figures and text mostly), I have challenged myself to only use the imagery that exists in the original print. So I have to do a lot of inventing and reusing of lines and textures. For example, I have been using elements of all the windows to construct the rest of the center top window. Another challenge is to make the color halftones from the original print match up with new copied layers of color. It is a slow process, but it gives me the most seamless look I can get right now. I have already deleted a few people and a green text box out of this image. The original comic book print is below.
Really, really nice work. That perspective doesn’t look easy!
