“Smörgåsbord” annual student exhibition at Artists Image Resource…

Last month, WVU Printmaking students traveled to Pittsburgh to set up our annual student show at Artists Image Resource in Pittsburgh. This exhibition is the culmination of our academic year and the students are required to do all the work that goes into organizing and installing this group exhibition. Like last year, because of the pandemic, I haven’t seen the show in person, and I might not get a chance to, but from these pictures, it looks like they did a fantastic job!

Also included in this year’s exhibition is a print portfolio exchange current MFA Printmaker Jamie Mulac organized.

On April 1st the WVU Printmaking Program hosted a live virtual gallery talk. Students were live on Zoom to talk about their work and answer any questions. This event was open to the public, and everyone did an amazing job. Thank you everyone for showing up and listening to what our students had to say.

We had a good group of students, faculty, and printmaking alumni come to our virtual reception!
We watched a video of the exhibition and paused at each piece to listen to what the artists had to say.
We had a very responsive audience, and a well prepared group of artists ready to talk! Honestly, this reception could not have gone better!
