“Comics in the Classroom” virtual teacher’s institute…

Earlier this week, I gave a virtual presentation to arts educators from all over the country about using Comics in K-12 education. This presentation was in coordination with a virtual teacher’s institute organized by WVU Art Ed Professor Teri Giobbia, with presentations by WVU Professors Annie McFarland and Dylan Collins.

While I have given informal presentations and workshops in K-12 classrooms, this was the first time I had formalized (and expanded) my research into using comics as a way to promote literacy and how to use comics to supplement curriculum in regular K-12 classrooms.
