A while back Ellen Mueller, an unbelievably prolific faculty member at the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth, asked me to be a part of a new podcast series for the College Arts Association. I asked Carmon Colangelo, now Dean at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, to record a conversation with me about being a successful teacher and administrator, and what academia looks like from an admin’s perspective. Carmon was the Chair of the School of Art at the University of Georgia when I attended graduate school there. He has been a big influence on my life and career, and I always appreciate his insights when we get together and talk.
There are some other great conversations in this series, so check them out. Thank you again to Ellen for asking me to do this, and thank you to Carmon for making time in his incredibly busy schedule to record this podcast.
