WVU Alumni Matt Forrest visit…

On Thursday Oct. 12 Matthew Forrest visited my Advanced Printmaking class. Matt is a WVU Alumni and current Assistant Professor of Art at Georgia College in Milledgeville. Matt was one of my first graduate students, and it is always great to spend some time with him. He has been really busy since moving to Georgia, and I am always impressed with the outreach and service programs that Matt is continuously involved in, like this:

And this article in a recent Georgia College newsletter featuring his work making prints with blind students:

Matt is a super inspirational artist, and I am so glad that he was able to make time to come see us.

After his lecture, Matt gave a demonstration about image transfers onto intaglio plates…

Thank you so much Matt for coming up and spending some time with us. This was a really great visit.
